Great Entry Level Wheel for a decent price The Thrustmaster Red Legend Edition represents a good beginners wheel, there is also the regular black edition which is essentially the same. I chose this one because I think the red goes nicely with the Ferrari Logo. Full Discretion – i did not buy this for myself. I bought two of them for a couple of my friends birthdays. I knew they had been contemplating getting wheels but considered them rather expensive. When I saw the price of this wheel and what it offered (ps3 and pc compatability) I figured i’d go for it.
3.5 stars I would like to give 3.5 stars for this one but giving 4 since that is not an option. I am using it with “PS3 – Grand Turismo” and it works very well once the controller buttons are re-assigned as given in the manual. I took away half star for the attachment mechanism, one metal screw holds the wheel to a table (with a plastic base) and I feel like it might break any minute. Another half star for the pedal that keep moving if you are using it on carpet floor. I would like to take another half star for not giving a manual, you need to go to a web-site to download the manual but not a huge deal.
Exactly what I need – Nothing more, nothing less. I bought this wheel mainly to play many of the simulator games out there (Farm Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator, Spintires, etc.) So – my review is from the standpoint of those games, not fast paced racing games.
